Below is a picture of my daughter. I love this particular picture of her because it captures her energy and sweetness in her bright eyes and big grin. A co-worker of mine is currently dealing with a newly teenage daughter and is struggling to be a good loving parent while her daughter is fighting for independence. The conversations my co-worker has had to have with her daughter concerning boys, Christianity, grades, attitude, boys, boys, & boys etc., has frankly scared me to death.
Right now, my sweet girl tells me everything and loves to be around me (and likewise - she's a lot of fun). I know her friends, who she likes to play with and who is sometimes not so nice. I hear her prayers and know her mind. I pray that when she is a teenager that she still trusts me and enjoys being around me enough to let me help her though the rough teenage years. And I pray that we will always enjoy each other through adolescence and adulthood. Love her so much!
